BASEBALL FIELD UPDATE
Thursday, July 12th to Monday, December 31st
The Board has earmarked the Baseball Field as our main project this year.  As we all know, the weather was not helpful in trying to get any long-term projects done this Spring and early Summer.  We either had uncharacteristically late snowstorms, torrential rain or blistering heat.  Since contractors will not put machinery on the Common Grounds Areas when the ground is soggy, we were at the mercy of the weather.

The current contractor responsible for the baseball field still has work to do, so we will be sure to keep you updated and let you know when the field is complete.  We expect all weeds in the infield to be removed, baselines to be defined and the pitcher's mound to be built up.

The backstop and dugout fences will also be repaired/repainted and/or replaced.  We remain optimistic that the weather will allow this project to be completed soon, but at the same time keep in mind there is no irrigation in that area, so it is another amenity that the developer did not really think through.  We will continue to make upgrades as our budget allows.  We thank you for your patience and understanding.

TENNIS/BASKETBALL COURT UPDATE
Thursday, July 12th to Monday, December 31st
As most of you know by now, the Basketball and Tennis Courts are beyond their prime.  Decades of freezing and thawing cycles, along with land shifting/erosion and multiple layers of asphalt have left the area in need of a total renovation.  We cannot simply add another layer of asphalt, the sheer weight of the current layers have exacerbated the problem with the shift-and-slide situation we are currently battling.

After reading the suggestions noted in many of your homeowner surveys, it seems that the FAMILY FITNESS AREA was not only the most popular choice, but also alleviates the need for asphalt which has already proven to be a problem in that sloping area.

At this time, the Board has come to a decision to remove the Tennis and Basketball courts.  We are currently obtaining estimates.  Upon removal, we will then have a large grassy area where we will install soccer nets until we come to a final decision on which fitness apparatus will be ordered and permanently installed in that area.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.

TOT LOT UPDATE
Thursday, July 12th to Monday, December 31st
The Board has researched different surfacing options and wood mulch is by far the most eco-friendly and economical choice for Country Place Estates at this time. So, in the next few weeks, you will notice that the Tot Lot has been remulched and commercial-grade picnic tables will be permanently installed near the Tot Lot.  Also, the trash receptacle from the (defunct) tennis and basketball courts will be relocated closer to the Tot Lot to accommodate those who wish to enjoy a snack or meal while in the Tot Lot with their family & friends.

Please be sure to CONTACT US through the website if you notice any damage, graffiti, or other unsafe/unattractive conditions so that they may be addressed in a timely fashion.   Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
